  • This piece is Concerto No. 1 for Flute in G Major by Mozart. It's a BRF file, and is an examplepost mainly. It is possible that there ma some errors in the music file, but overall, I believe it is fine. David

I'm afraid I am unfamiliar with Karnatic. Is it a language, or a specific type of notation? The only software I know of that may be able to do this is Lime which is a part of the Goodfeel Braille Translator. 'll send your inquiry to the blind musicians list serve, and they may have some insightthat I don't.

I could probably help you learn the basics, such as th different notes, as well as note values, etc. Do you have a way to contact me via some sort of voice communication? My Skype name is dsbouchard, and my email is davib521@gmail.com. I hope I can help. David

  • Hello. I am David Bouchard, the creator of the Accessible Sheet Music channel. I am a trumpet player who just graduated from Starkville High School. I just recently started the transition to Braille music after playing by ear. I am eager for new material to be added to the channel, but I need some feedback on what people would like to see posted here, such as music for various instruments, or different types of music. I have several resources for accessible sheet music, but there are so many pieces that could be posted. That is why I need your suggestions. I hope this channel will be a useful resource for all of you, and I thank you for any support you may be able to provide.

Oh. By the way, I will be getting most of my music files from a place called Finale Showcase. The link is:http://www.finalemusic.com/showcase/default.aspx Finale is a music notation software which is mostly inaccessible, ut I can download the finale .mus files, export them to a format known as music XML, and use Lime and the Goodfeel Braille Translator to translate the music in to Braile. Feel free to browse the site, and if you would like something translated, I will do that. David
